@tillhuman To see the view bar in MS Project 2007 go to the menu item “View” and scroll down to the “View Bar” sub menu item. Click on it. Join me at CreateAndManageSchedules(dot)com :-)

What do you mean by “organize my master schedule ***through*** priorities and resourse usage.”? Did you mean”by” instead of “through”? The sentence is confusing. Please explain what you mean.

Q: if resources collide would it be highlighted somehow?
For example a person is scheduled to perform two tasks at the same time at different locations? or if the number of simultaneous tasks exceeds the number of available resources? or if the overall budget is sufficient for all projects but at some point in time there is a cash-flow issue – like more money has to be spent now then are actually available?
What to do in each of those cases?
